Amanda N. Nickens, 27, of Barstow, IL, died Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at home.
A family directed memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1450 30th Avenue, East Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to the family. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements
Amanda was born on January 3, 1989, in Quincy, IL, the daughter of Jeffrey Coon and Tammy Nickens. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in East Moline
Amanda liked to spend time with her children and fiancé, read, do crafts, go fishing and have fun
Survivors include her children, Melissa and Elliot Nickens, Barstow, IL; father, Jeff Coon, Milan, IL; mother, Tammy Nickens Whitlock, Hannibal, MO; sisters, Heaven Backshmid, Edmonton, KY, and Kimberly Gordon, Hannibal, MO; brothers, Zachary Coon and Nicholas Coon, Milan, IL, and Dustin Write, Hannibal, MO; paternal grandparents, Robert and Janice Coon, Barstow, IL; maternal grandmother, Judy Martin, Bonne Terre, MO; fiancé, Zachary Quick, and his daughter, Melody Quick, Barstow, IL; several nieces and nephews
