Mary F. Walther

Mary F. Walther, 64, of Prophetstown, IL, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018, at home.

There will be no services.  Cremation rites have been accorded, per her wishes.

Mary was born on January 6, 1954 in West Lafayette, IN, the daughter of Eugene J. and Frances Orban Axnix.  She married Kurt E. Walther on August 24, 1984 in Tampa, FL.  She was a nurse at Dixon Correctional Facility.  She attended Milledgeville Brethren Church as well as Christ the King Catholic Church, where she was active in functions with both churches.  She also enjoyed cooking, reading, and spending time with her cats and dogs.

Survivors include her husband, Kurt, Prophetstown, IL; father, Eugene, Moline; brother, Gene Axnix, Rock Island; sisters, Catherine Romaine, East Moline, and Elizabeth (Frank) Lower, Riverside, IA; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances; one brother, John Axnix; and an uncle, Fred Piccini.
