Patricia Ann O'Meara

Patricia Ann O’Meara, 89, of Erie, IL, passed away Wednesday August 23, 2023, at Allure hospice care in East Moline.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday September 1, 2023, at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend should meet at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline at 1:45 p.m. for the procession to the cemetery.

Patricia was born on March 30, 1934, in Burgess, Illinois, the daughter of Bert and Bernice (Morrow) Lafferty. She married Thomas F. O’Meara on May 26, 1982, at Memorial Christian Church in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on January 6, 2005. Patricia was previously employed at John Deere & Co. in the advertising department, retiring in 1986.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy Zatari and Daniel Spiro, Paradise Valley, AZ; her son, John “Bob” Hillman, Marshalltown, IA; her step-daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Don Albrecht, Taylor Ridge, IL; her granddaughters Liat Spiro, Somerville MA and Brenna McCain, Davenport IA; and her brother, John Samuel Lafferty, Aledo IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
