Robert R. Draeger, 87, of East Moline, IL, died Friday, May 30, 2014, at Genesis Medical Center - Illini Campus, Silvis, IL.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Robert will be laid to rest at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, during a graveside service at Bethel Cemetery in Byron, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or to American Heart Society.
Robert was born on May 29, 1927, in Oshkosh, WI, the son of Le Roy W. and Viola M. (Suda) Draeger. He married Norma A. Steiner on February 4, 1951, in Fond du Lac, WI.
Robert retired as a supervisor from Credit Thrift Financial Corporation in 1987. He was a WWII Navy Veteran. Robert will be remembered as a devoted husband, family man, mentor to many, avid sportsman and Green Bay Packer fan.
