Ronald Ray Ropp

Ronald Ray Ropp, 74, of East Moline, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Genesis Medical Center East, Davenport.

Cremation rites will be accorded, and private family burial will take place at Maumee Cemetery, Antwerp, Ohio.

Ronnie was born on September 29, 1943, in Paulding, Ohio.  Ronnie had many stories about his travels and good times while growing up in Fort Wayne, Indiana, with his parents Crystal Jenkins Ropp and Forrest D. Ropp.

Ronnie cherished the people in his life and always enjoyed visits and gatherings with family.  He loved reading newspapers and magazines, weekly phone conversations with his friend, Mike, and spending time with his cat, Baby.  He was always up for a good conversation and served as the family’s historian.  Ronnie faced many challenges in his life but contributed so much to those who knew and loved him.

Ronnie will be remembered and sorely missed by his family including cousins, Lonna and Gene Parmentier, Moline; Berniece and Ted Reveal, Moline; Brendan and Maria Gould, Rio Rancho, New Mexico; Lyle, Tammy, and Tyler Jenkins, Fremont, Indiana, and Blair Dupree, Greenville, North Carolina.
