Adolf "Chris" Schnepple

Adolf “Chris” Schnepple, 88, of Silvis, passed away Friday, May 21, 2021, at home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd, Moline.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park.  Memorials may be made to St. Mark's Anglican Church, 1550 7th Ave, Silvis, IL 61282.

Chris was born on May 24, 1932, in Moline, the son of Adolf G. and Barbara (Stotz) Schnepple.  He was a U.S. veteran, serving in Korea.  He married Nancy J. Johnson on October 5, 1957, in Moline.  She preceded him in death on March 2, 1981.  He later married Linda Rosenstiel on April 25, 1998 in Silvis.  She preceded him in death on November 20, 2011.  Chris worked as a plumber for 45 years, with Allison and Albrecht and later with Rock Island Plumbing.  He was a member of Local 25 Plumber and Pipefitters, the Silvis Eagles, and a lifetime member of the Moline VFW.  He was also a member of St. Mark’s Anglican Church in Silvis.

Survivors include his children, James (Becky) Schnepple, Silvis; Barb Schnepple, Silvis, Linda (Mark) Belman, Silvis, and Sue Zimmer, Moline; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; stepson Robbie Gresham, Hardin, IL; 2 step grandchildren, Jacob and Jenna; sister, Anna Donahue, Moline.

He was preceded in death by his parents and spouses.
