Alan W. Gooch, age 58, of Moline died April 9, 2005 at Trinity Medical Center,
Rock Island, IL.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13th at Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Esterdahl Mortuary, Ltd. is assisting the family.
Alan was born on November 29, 1946 in Davenport, Iowa the son of Richard and Gladys Johanningmeier Gooch. He married Katherine Elliott on July 31, 1992 in Rock Island.
He was self-employed as an auto body repairman and then was employed by Welcraft Boats as a boat builder in Florida. He was a member of Skyraiders RC club, where he enjoyed flying remote control airplanes. He also enjoyed NASCAR and NHRA. He loved his pet dogs, Samantha and Emily. He was always willing to help others.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy; parents Richard and Gladys; his two daughters and their spouses Andrea and Richard Barton of Aledo and Angela and James Walrath of Rock Island; two brothers and their spouses Denny Gooch of Coal Valley and Ronnie and Tina Gooch of Arkansas; 4 grandchildren, Kaylyn and Lauren Barton and Zoe and Ani Walrath.
