Alan "Randy" Talbot, 49 of Moline, passed away January 11, 2010 at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, January 14, 2010 at National Cemetery, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd, 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Memorials may be made to his family.
Randy was born on October 25, 1960 in Moline the son of Ralph and Betty Hawotte Talbot. He married Melissa Sue Swanson on August 10, 1989 in Rock Island.
Randy was employed at Miller Container as a forklift operator. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and was an avid baseball fan. Randy was a Navy veteran who was awarded the Bronze Star. He was a very proud and loving grandpa.
Survivors include his wife Melissa; his daughter Amber Porter of Milan; 2 grandchildren Paige and Riley Porter; his brother David and Fumei Talbot of Joliet; his sisters Cindy and Glenn Granger of Rock Island, Andi and Max Kauffman of Blue Grass and Lisa Sedlock and Brian Fanning of East Moline; his lifelong friends Wayne Prather and Bill Baker and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
