Albert P. Dhaenens

Albert J. Dhaenens, 83, of Moline, died July 9, 2008 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2008 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association.
Albert was born July 19, 1924 in Moline to Theophil and Zulma (Jonckherre) Dhaenens.
He married Juanita Davis on April 5, 1946 in Rock Island. She preceded him in death in 1985.
Albert was a material stocker for John Deere Plow and Planter. He was a WWII veteran serving in the Pacific Theatre. He was a member of the Moline VFW and East End Club. He was a diehard Cubs fan and an avid Bears fan. He enjoyed waltzing and was known as the "Waltz King". Albert was well loved and will be missed by all that knew him.
