Alberta G. Pulley, age 93, of Moline, was called home on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Parkview Healthcare Center, East Moline.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 19, 2008 at Mt. Olive Church of God in Christ, 1020 North Ripley Street, Davenport. Visitation is from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the church. Burial is in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be made to the family. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. is assisting the family.
Alberta was born February 27, 1915 in Brinkley, AR., the daughter of Octor and Edmonia "Eddie" (Harmon) Jordan. Aubrey Coleman later became her father. As a young woman Alberta moved to Iowa and married Monzella Hudson then later she married Ben Pulley on July 30, 1940 in Kahoka, MO. He preceded her in death on March 15, 1970.
Mother Pulley made a name for herself in the Quad Cities as an accomplished seamstress, she enjoyed designing her own clothing and finding treasures at rummage sales. Mother Pulley was a personal seamstress for Mrs. William Hewitt for many years. Mother Pulley was the oldest member of Mt. Olive Church of God in Christ, Davenport where she was heavily involved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and a daughter, Beverly Meyers.
