Alfred F. Sanders, 82, of Carbon Cliff, died September 1, 2008 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2008 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Cremation rites will have been accorded. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established at a later date.
Alfred was born September 23, 1925 in Marceline, MO to Alfred W. and Ethel Smoot Sanders. He married Jessie Hoover on September 24, 1953 in Arkansas.
Alfred worked for the village of Carbon Cliff for 15 years. Prior to working at Carbon Cliff, he worked for McLaughlin Body.
Alfred enjoyed working on cars and reading Westerns.
