Alice was born on September 26, 1927, in Cordova, IL, the daughter of Harley and Florence (Birdsley) Lewis. She married Paul G. Bradley in 1950, in Toulon. She later married John T. Huskey on January 30, 1970, in Milan, IL, and he preceded her in death on May 19, 1981.
Alice was a warm hearted and loving woman who made friends everywhere she went. She loved people of all ages and worked as a caregiver for seniors for many years. She had also worked for Illini Hospital and several area doctors. She was truly an amazing and compassionate woman. Even in her times of need she never complained, instead she looked to see how she could help others. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was undoubtedly the best mother, grandmother, and friend anyone could ask for. She listened to others and told funny stories to brighten a sad mood. You could always count on her for anything and everything; she always had a listening ear and a shoulder to lean on. She loved to tell nursery rhymes and sing to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing games, bingo above all. She always knew when it was bingo day and was ready to go with a twinkle in her eyes. She lived at Hope Creek Care Center and absolutely loved it there. She made many close friends, with residents and staff. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Moline and WWII Mothers. She was a den mother for boy scouts and a leader for Brownies.
