Alice E. Rabe

Alice E. Rabe, 92, of East Moline died November 8, 2006 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 13, 2006 with a visitation one hour prior to service time at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Moline.
Alice was born June 15, 1914 in Moline to Matthew and Margaret (Geldart) Evans. She was a graduate of Moline High School. Prior to her marriage, she worked in the advertising department of Deere and Company. She married Julius Rabe of Davenport in 1941 and left for Pittsburgh, PA where he had been transferred as Display Manager from TriCities for Sears, Roebuck & Co.
They spent eight years in Pittsburgh and he was transferred to the home office of Sears in Chicago. They lived 29 years in Villa Park, IL a suburb of Chicago. She was a member of the Community Congregational Church of Villa Park. Upon Mr. Rabe's retirement, they returned to the TriCities. He died in 1999.
She was a homemaker and is survived by
