Aline R.Johnson, age 80, of East Moline, died Saturday, July 30, 2011 surrounded by her family.
Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment is at Rock Island Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline.
Aline was born November 25, 1930 in Jefferson County, IL, the daughter of Artie and Frances Bertsch Walker. She married Arnold F. "Gus" Johnson on September 26, 1954 in Milan. He preceded her in death on October 20, 1978.
Aline was employed for 22 years by Deere & Company, retiring in 1995. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Moline.
She is survived by son Brent (Kathy) Johnson, Milan, and daughter Julie (Tom) Culliton, Davenport; also grandchildren Emily & Elizabeth Culliton, and Alex & Luke Johnson; sister Norma (Harry) Gardner, and brother John Walker, both of California.
