Allen J. Johnson, 69,of Colona, IL died September 15, 2008 at his home.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior on Friday, September 19, 2008 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave. Moline. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Memorials may be made to his family for the purchase of a memorial brick at Wrigley Field.
Allen was born June 29, 1939 in Grafton, ND to Ingvald "Jing" and Pearl G. (Coats) Johnson. He married Darlene M. Reemts on January 4, 1959 in Moline. She preceded him in death in 2002.
Allen was an assembler/utility man for 29 years at International Harvester Case IH retiring in 1991. He was a member of the East End Club and UAW #1304. He enjoyed working in his garage, old country music, cooking, candy and bottled Pepsi. He was very close to his AA Family for over 22 years. He was a die hard Cubs fan. "Go Cubs, this is the year!"
