Alvin Carl Kraus, 90, of Silvis, died March 14, 2007 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.
Funeral services will be 1p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2007 with a visitation one hour prior to service time at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline with military honors conducted by American Legion Post #246, Moline. Memorials may be made to First United Presbyterian Church, Moline.
Alvin was born July 13, 1916 in Russell Co., KS to Samuel and Katie Major Kraus. He married Doris I. Ryan on November 16, 1946 in Moline. She preceded him in death on November 30, 1996.
Alvin was a laborer for over 20 years at John Deere, East Moline, retiring on January 1, 1978.
Alvin was a WWII Air Force veteran. He was a member of First United Presbyterian Church, Moline and American Legion Post #246, Moline. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and bowling.
