Angela K. Parsons

Angela K. Parsons, 56, of Moline, passed away, October 30, 2024, at her residence.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday November 15, 2024, at Edgewood Baptist Church, 2704 38th Street, Rock Island. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Edgewood Baptist Church, where Angela was a member. 

Angela was born on September 14, 1968, in Moline, the daughter of Richard C. and Jan (Ortman) Parsons. Angela graduated from Temple Christian Academy and Vennard College. 

Angie was thoughtful, funny, kind and forgiving. She enjoyed bible study, talking politics, family gatherings, and her birthday “month”. She also loved Gilda’s Club, meeting new people, laughing, Diet Coke, and trips to Target, not necessarily in that order. She cherished her time with nephews, Luke and Bennett, Angie loved her church, and they loved her back.

Survivors include her parents, Dick and Jan Parsons; brothers, Chuck (Julie) Parsons and Joe (Jennifer) Parsons; sister, Laura (Jon Birdsall) Sawvell; uncles and aunts, Bill and Phyllis Ortman, Kent and Connie Ortman, Jim and Ann Millman, and Linda Ortman, along with nieces and nephews, Megan and Devin Parsons, Luke Sawvell, Bennett Parsons, and cousins including, Steve Heald. Also surviving is her best friend, Jennifer Moran.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dr. Charles and Helen Ortman, and Henry T. and Ethel Parsons. Also, Bill Fisher, Jason Sawvell and Jim H. Parsons.

Angie faced and overcame many challenges and obstacles during her life. She greeted each day with a smile. She was loved deeply by family, friends and her church. She will be dearly missed. Her memory will live on forever in our hearts.
