Anita Minnie Walker, 91, of Geneseo, IL, died Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, November 6, 2017, at Calvary Lutheran Church, 2900 Avenue of the Cities, Moline. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, November 5, 2017, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Burial will be at National Cemetery at the Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be made to Calvary Lutheran Church and UnityPoint Hospice Making Memories Count.
Anita was born on December 17, 1925, in Walsh, IL, the daughter of Henry Fritz and Rose Hapke Eggemeyer. She married Marion Francis Walker on February 9, 1952, in Chester, IL, and he preceded her in death on January 3, 1985.
Anita was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church. She loved to fish and spend time with her grandkids.
Survivors include her children, Charlotte (Danny) Powell, Geneseo, IL, Jerry (Jeanne) Walker, Silvis, IL, and Rose Mary (Roger) Champion, Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Danny (Jennifer) Walker, Nicole Walker, Nathan (Trish) Zahringer, Sheena (Brian) Beasley, Hannah Champion, Mark (Jennifer) Powell, Sarah (Andy) McShane, Kevin (Veronica) Powell; 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Harry, Walter, and Henry Eggemeyer; 3 sisters, Elda Niemeyer, Edna Lindwedel, and Viola Runge.
