Ann Thomas

Ann A. Thomas, 86, of Orion, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2019.

Funeral mass will be held at 6:30 p.m., Monday, April 22, 2019, at Mary Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Orion.  Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m., Monday, at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., Orion.  Cremation will follow services.  Memorials may be made to Mary Our Lady of Peace, where Ann was a member.

Ann was born on August 7, 1932, in Chicago, the daughter of Charles V. and Alma A. (Prochaska) Sramek.  She married Neil H. Thomas on May 24, 1958, in Chicago.  He preceded her in death on October 26, 2011.  Ann previously worked as a nurse at St. Joseph Hospital.

Survivors include her children, Karla Carlson, Osco, Paul (Gayla) Thomas, East Moline, Gregory (Alexis) Thomas, Pumpkintown, SC, and David (Tina) Thomas, Sherrard; grandchildren, Andy (Brook) Carlson, Wade (Jessica) Carlson, Veronica Carlson, Ava Thomas, and Cooper Thomas; great grandchildren, Kenlee, Kallie, Leyton, Brody, and Kendall; sisters, Mary Bansfield, Chicago, and Joan Casler, Ft. Worth, TX.

She was preceded in death by her husband, son-in-law, Steven Carlson, and sister, Monica Sramek.
