Anna Marie Yoeckel, 88, of Moline, IL, died Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior to the service on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Salem Lutheran Church 1724 15th Street, Moline. Burial will be at the National Cemetery at the Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be made to the Salem Lutheran Church. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Anna was born on January 1, 1929, in Sterling, IL, the daughter of Albert E. and Lena Otten George. She graduated from Rock Falls High School in 1946. Ann married Myron H. Yoeckel on October 10, 1951, in Sterling, IL. She was a volunteer for the local hospital.
Ann was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Moline and the UMC Auxiliary Ladies Elks Bowling League. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading.
Survivors include her husband, Myron H. Yoeckel; daughter, Janice K. (Steve) Carlson, Moline, IL, son, Donald M. (Sheila) Yoeckel, Moline, IL; 4 grandchildren, Ryan (Jessica) Yoeckel, WI, Brett (Jessica) Carlson, Davenport, IA, Molly (Mike) Muller, Bettendorf, IA, Douglas (Kate) Yoeckel, Moline, IL; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Barbara Millerschoen, Sterling, IL; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 4 brothers.
