Anna May Petrick, 91, of East Moline, IL, died Friday, December 16, 2016, at home.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Per her wishes, cremation rites will follow. Memorials may be made to the Riverbend Library for large print books.
Anna was born on September 8, 1925, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Arthur A. and Bertha Sampson Cooke. She married Milton Petrick on September 25, 1948, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Moline, and he preceded her in death on April 12, 1980.
Anna was an active volunteer for branch libraries. She was an avid reader and loved genealogy. Also, she worked in several capacities for Sacred Heart School in Moline.
Survivors include her 5 children, Michael (Sharon) Petrick, Rio, Paul (Sue) Petrick, Moline, IL, Joseph Petrick, East Moline, IL, Carl (Angela) Petrick, East Moline, IL, and Theresa Bowman, Moline, IL; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and a number of great great grandchildren; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Joy, Jerry, John, and Jean; sisters, Dorothy Glenn, Rosa VandeVoort, Bertha Lemkau, Lillian Bird, and an infant sister.
