Arland R. Seabloom, 83, of Geneseo, IL, formerly of Orion, IL, died Sunday, August 18, 2013, at Good Samaritan Society, Geneseo, IL.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, August 24, 2013, at Swedona Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, August 23, 2013, at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., 1301 4th Street, Orion. Burial will be at Swedona Cemetery where military honors will be performed by Orion American Legion Post #255. In lieu of flowers, it is Arland's request for memorials to be made to his family.
Arland was born on October 26, 1929, in Lynn Center, IL, the son of Arland E. "Allen" and Martha (Sandstedt) Seabloom. He married Marilyn Hartwich on June 2, 1961, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Orion, IL. He worked for 35 years as a laborer for Servus Rubber in Rock Island, IL, retiring in 1992.
Arland served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and later belonged to the Ophiem American Legion Post #1077. He was also a member of Swedona Lutheran Church where he was a council member and would attend Bible Study. In his younger years, Arland enjoyed gardening and farming. Above all, he was a very giving individual.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Kathryn Kunert, Genevieve Swanson, Arlene Wheeler, Janet Larson, and Elaine Sward.
