Arlen Green, 60, of Moline, died October 3, 2007 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Rite of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at Christ the King Catholic Church with prayers at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Visitation will be Monday from 5-7 p.m. with a wake service at 5:00 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Military rites will be conducted. Memorials may be made to USO (United Service Organization at USO World Headquarters Dept. WS P.O. Box 96860 Washington DC 20090-6860 and make checks payable to USO).
Arlen was born April 2, 1947 in Omaha, NE to Verl and Lillian Franson Green. He married Rosie Voeller on November 17, 1976 in Kennett, MO.
Arlen was a supply sergeant/readiness NCO for the U.S. Army National Guard retiring on August 8, 2005. Arlen, a Bronze Star recipient, proudly served during the Vietnam War and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Arlen was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline. He enjoyed playing his guitar and was in a band for many years.
