Arlene L. Tennant, 81, of Orion, died February 11, 2008 at Trinity Medical Center, Moline.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2008 at Orion United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Friday from 3-6 p.m. at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd. Burial will be in Western Township Cemetery, Orion. Memorials may be made to American Alzheimer's Association ( 736 Federal St. Davenport, IA 52803).
Arlene was born April 6, 1926 in Alpha, IL to Oscar and Lillian (Nelson) Engstrom. She married Sidney E. Tennant on February 14, 1948 in Orion. He preceded her in death on October 3, 1999.
Arlene was an executive secretary for Tennant Truck Lines and later was an assistant post master in Orion retiring in 1987.
Arlene was a member of Orion United Methodist Church where she was very active. She was a member of Orion American Legion Auxiliary. She was the former president of the PTA for several years and was a former Cub Scout leader. She enjoyed spending winters in Arizona.
Arlene was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was hardworking and loyal person who loved her family and visiting with her friends very much.
