Arman A. Gaulrapp

April 13, 1918 — August 24, 2005

Arman Gaulrapp, age 87 of Moline, formerly of Rock Falls, died Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at Trinity West Medical Center, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 29, 2005 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline with a graveside service at 1:00 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery, Sterling,IL. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a fund to be established in his name.
Arman was born April 13, 1918 in Rock Falls, IL the son of Aaron and Effie Chapin Gaulrapp. He married Myrtle Green in Morrison, IL on May 28, 1940. She preceded him in death in February, 1984. He then married Martha Herdegen on August 8, 1985 in Grosse Pointe Farms, MI.
Arman was a retired farmer in the Rock Falls area. He was a member of the Rock Falls Methodist Church where he was involved in the choir and was a Sunday school teacher. He now attended Riverside United Methodist Church, Moline. Arman belonged to the Rock Falls Rotary where he had perfect attendance for over 35 years. He was a member of the Rural Youth and the Rock Falls 4-H Clubs where he was a former leader. He was on the Board of Education at Rock Falls High School for 17 years, and the Sauk Valley Community College Board of Education. Arman was also a member and past president of several area photography clubs and member and past president of the Central Illinois Camera Club Association. Arman enjoyed wood working and cooking, and volunteering at Colona School where his wife, Martha , taught.
