Barbara J Carr

Barbara J. Carr, 82, of Moline, died Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at Illini Restorative Care in Silvis.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Visitation will be 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline.  Burial will be at Boynton Beach Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Boynton Beach, Florida.  Memorials may be made to Quad City Autism Center (2430 6th Avenue; Moline) or Trinity Lutheran Church (1330 13th Street; Moline).

Barbara was born on January 1, 1937, in Moline, the daughter of Arvid and Florence Larson.  She married the love of her life, Wendell Carr, in Moline.   From her humble beginnings, Barbara and Wendell, started Car Circus which grew into the present day Hiland Toyota.  After the death of her husband, she demonstrated her true entrepreneur skills and became business woman of the year.  She adored her family and friends, her shopping trips to Chicago, and her time spent in Florida.  She brought joy to all those who knew her.

Survivors include her sons; Randell “Randy” (Kelly) Carr; Derek Carr; her grandchildren; Jette Carr, Blaze Carr, Cameren Carr, Tara Kapple, and Kyle Ambrozi; great-grandchildren; Alexus Kapple, Kaci Kapple; and brother, Richard Larson (Yvonne).

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a brother, Wayne Larson; and a sister, Bulah Jones.
