Barbara L. Engstrom

Barbara L. Engstrom, 86, of Moline, died Monday, November 15, 2010 at St. Anthony's Nursing & Rehab, Rock Island.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2010 at Union Congregational Church, Moline with a visitation an hour prior to services. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Leukemia Research Foundation, or to Union Congregational Church, Moline. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., is assisting the family.
Barbara was born on May 12, 1924 in Moline to Martin H. and Errie O. (Tanner) Liedtke. She was educated in the Moline School District and graduated from Milwaukee Wauwatosa in 1942. She also attended Augustana College. She married Peter Krass then later married Clifford C. Engstrom. He preceded her in death on February 28, 1989.
Barbara was a sales manager for Younkers for 26 years, retiring in 1990. Barbara was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, and Edith Hans Circle of Kings Daughters. She was also a member of Union Congregational Church, Moline. Barbara loved to decorate her home and her husband Cliff even teased her that she decorated the floor.
Survivors include her many friends and the love of her life, her dog Mai Lin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, 12 year old son Kim M. Krass and her aunt Virginia Brissman and uncle Glen Tanner.
