God took Barbara Lynette Flippo, 61, of Moline, home on January 24, 2007 after a long illness.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 10:00 at the Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 29, 2007 at the funeral home. Interment will be at the National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
Barbara was born February 9, 1945 in Moline to Eldon J. and Francis Virginia Vice Engholm. She graduated from Sherrard High School in 1963. She married Gordon Douglas Billings on January 25, 1964 in Watertown, IL. She later married Billy Dean Flippo on August 6, 2003 in Marion Co., Alabama.
Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, scrapbooking and card making. She was a "frustrated interior decorator." She also enjoyed having tea parties.
Her husband Billy was devoted to her and took care of her until the Lord took her home. Barbara touched many lives with her strength and courage during her battle with cancer, words cannot express how much she will be missed.
