Barbara L. Gillen, 74 of Rock Island and formerly of Moline, passed away September 8, 2011 at Trinity Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 4107-21st Avenue, Moline on Tuesday,
September 13th. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Memorial Estates. Memorials may be made to her church, Holy Cross Lutheran.
Barbara was born on January 31, 1937 in Moline the daughter of Edwin and Florence Hepner Gillen.
She was employed as a case manager at Alternatives for the Older Adults and was formerly employed as a nurse for many years at Franciscan Hospital. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. She was an avid reader.
