Barbara 'Bobbie" R. Gustafson, age 84, of Moline, died Saturday, November 8, 2008 at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial is in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church, Moline.
Bobbie was born June 3, 1924 in West Bureau, IL, the daughter of Frank and Edith (Phillips) Preston. She married Roy J. Gustafson on July 25, 1949 at Salem Lutheran Church, Moline. He preceded her in death on February 13, 2006.
Bobbie was a full time homemaker and seamstress for many years, and worked at Heritage Health Foods in later years. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Moline. Bobbie was a dedicated wife, and mother, and was loved by all who knew her. She was a skilled seamstress, and loved to watch the Chicago Cubs and Bears. Bobbie also treasured her time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
