Barbara D. Thomas, 92, of Moline, died May 17, 2009 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2009 at First Evangelical Free Church, Moline. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-6 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave. Moline. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the church for Mission Field.
Barbara was born April 27, 1917 in Ashley, North Dakota to William and Katherine (Koth) Stading. She married Daniel H. Thomas on December 25, 1937 in Fairbanks, IA. He preceded her in death on June 17, 2007.
Barbara worked alongside her husband as his partner for 29 years at Thomas Paint and Decorating Store. They both retired in 1985.
In 1938 she joined First Evangelical Free Church, Moline where she was involved as a Sunday school leader and the chairperson of the White Cross Mission Society. She was also a leader for Pioneer Girls. She enjoyed reading and knitting.
She is survived by

Sister Eloise Heidkross Mason City, IA
She was preceded in death by her parents and five sisters.
