Barbara Woods

Barbara J. Woods, 68, passed away at her home in Colona on Tuesday, July 23, 2019.

Visitation will be 1 – 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, 2019, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline.  Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Monday, July 29, 2019, at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.  Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice, Moline.

Barbara was born on September 21, 1950, in Moline, the daughter of Gordon and Goldie (Jaster) Russell.  She married Charles M. “Mike” Woods in 1972.  He precedes her in death.

Barbara attended the Church of Christ and her faith was strong.  She loved spending time with her family, grandkids, and friends.  Barbara was an Office Manager at Office Express until

March of 2017.  She also loved crafts and reading.  Barbara was a member of TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) in 2000 and served as President and Secretary for several years.

Survivors include her children, Joleen (Delaney) Woods, Rock Island, Charlene (Heath) Woods, Geneseo, Michaela Woods, South Dakota; grandchildren, Cassie Allen, Cayla Garcia, Cristina Battin, Tyler Battin, Ashlee Garcia, Lauryn Garcia; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Isaiah, Lukus, Maddox, Violet, special friends, Rhonda McClintock and family, Dorothy Fonger and family, and Jo Frenell and family, and Evey Roselle.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Donald Russell, sister, Jacqueline Fisher, and “Brother”, Ronald McClintock.
