Becky Schnepple

Rebecca “Becky” Louise Schnepple, 62, formerly of Silvis, passed away at her home in Galva on Wednesday August 23, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday August 26, 2023, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to St. Mark’s Anglican Church, Silvis.

Becky was born on June 1, 1961, in Moline, the daughter of Ralph and Mary Alice (Reed) Witte. She married James Schnepple on May 24, 1980, in Port Byron. Becky was a member of St. Mark’s Anglican Church where she taught Sunday school and was active with the youth group. She also volunteered her time with the Carbon Cliff-Barstow Fire District Auxiliary. She enjoyed camping and being with her family. Becky was a loving and devoted homemaker. She was incredibly involved with her children’s activities and was a mom to all of their friends.

She is survived by her husband, James Schnepple; children, Mat (Alicia) Schnepple, Galva, Jay (Phil) Potaczek, Ottawa; granddaughter, Olivia; sisters-in-law, Barb Schnepple, Moline, Linda (Mark) Belman, Silvis, Sue (Charlie Peppers) Zimmer, Moline, Joline Witte, Moline; aunt, Ann Donahue, Moline; many nieces, nephews and God children.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bill Witte, Stuart Witte; sister, Geri Rowan.
