Bernice W. Gotheridge, age 79, formerly of Rock Island, died Saturday, February 3, 2007 at Riverview Manor Nursing Home, Pleasant Valley, IA.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial is in National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established.
Bernice was born March 17, 1927 in Moline, the daughter of William and Pearl (Simpson) Bond. She married Henry K. Gotheridge on July 3, 1947 in Sedalia, MO. He preceded her in death on July 22, 2000.
Bernice was employed as a secretary for Giberman Brothers and Fresh Pak Candy Co. for 8 years, retiring in 1967. She was a member of the Hampton Ladies Fire Auxiliary, Ladies Division of the American Vets, and the Rosewood Red Hat Society. Bernice enjoyed watching NASCAR, football and baseball. She also loved cats and dogs
