Bessie L. Lynn

Bessie L. Lynn, 95, of Moline, formerly of New Windsor, passed away Saturday October 26, 2024, at UnityPoint Health Trinity Rock Island.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday October 29, 2024, at Swedona Lutheran Church, 1493 Knoxville Rd, Lynn Center. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Monday October 28th at Esterdahl Funeral Home, 1301 4th Street, Orion. Burial will be at Swedona Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Swedona Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund.

Bessie was born on August 29, 1929, in Moline, the daughter of LaVerne F. and Myrtle (Nimrick) Anderson. She married William Allen Lynn on June 24, 1954, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Orion. He preceded her in death on January 25, 2021. Bessie was a member of Swedona Lutheran Church. She worked at John Deere but spent most of her time being a homemaker. She loved her church and her family.

Survivors include her children, Kevin (Carol) Lynn, Galesburg, Gina (Steve) Geering, Blue Grass, IA, Lisa (Denis) Wehr, Moline; grandchildren, Heather, Lucas, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Grace, Carolyn; 3 step grandchildren, Joshua, Jason, and Alisha; 10 great grandchildren; 8 step great grandchildren; sister, Sheila (Jerry) Bryan, Sherrard; sister-in-law, Dolly Anderson, New Windsor; brother-in-law, John (Twila) Lynn, Silvis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Twila Mae Kirby, and brother, LaVerne Anderson.
