Betty Ann Dickinson, age 58, of Rock Island, died Friday, July 23, 2010 at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline,
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial is in Rock Island Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family or a favorite charity.
Betty Ann was born February 6, 1952 in Kewanee, IL the daughter of Charles and Zelda (Burton) Hegwood. She married Ralph M Dickinson on February 14, 1969 at Fifteenth Avenue Christian Church in Rock Island.
Betty Ann was employed as a cook for the President Riverboat, and later as a concession manager at the QCCA Expo Center in Rock Island. She was a life time member of the Isaak Walton League of America, a member of both the Rock Island and Moline Conservation Club, a member of the Quad City In Fisherman Club, and she actively supported Living Lands and Waters. Betty Ann was the secretary of Quad City Stand Down for Homeless Vets, and captain of her Block Club thru Community Caring Conference. She enjoyed camping, fishing and the outdoors.
