Betty A. Scott, 86, of Moline, IL, died Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Homewood Evangelical Free Church, 3303 60th Street, Moline. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2012 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Life in Messiah International, P.O. Box 5470, Lansing, IL, 60438, or to Homewood Evangelical Free Church where she was a member.
Betty was born on June 10, 1926 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Russell and Pauline (Nelson) Allison. On Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 1949, she married Robert W. Scott in Moline, IL at Bethany Baptist Church. There, she was a faithful Sunday school teacher and youth group leader. As a young girl she worked at a licorice factory and later doing office work with Deere Plow & Company. Betty worked as a pre-school teacher for Wee Care Day Care in Moline and for the Heritage Wesleyan Church Day Care. Betty was a great lover of good books, gardening and the most passionate White Sox Fan. But most importantly she was a Godly wife and mother, her worth far above jewels.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Robin Sue; grandson, Jesse Springfield Scott; and granddaughter, Andrea Hope.
