Beulah Pavel Murphy, 93, of Orion, IL, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017, at Hillcrest Home, Geneseo, IL.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 3, 2017, at Mary, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 1402 10th Street, Orion.  Recitation of the Rosary will be a 4:30 p.m. followed by a visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., 1301 4th Street, Orion.  Burial will be at Western Township Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Mary, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church or to Hillcrest Nursing Home.

Beulah was born on July 24, 1923, in Humphrey, NE, the daughter of Ferdinand and Agnes Brandl Weidner.  She married George L. Pavel on October 7, 1943, in Cornlea, NE, and he preceded her in death on May 23, 1989.  Beulah and her husband, George, were farmers.  She later married Patrick J. Murphy in Orion on March 17, 2003.

Beulah was a member of Mary, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Orion as well as the Altar & Rosary Society.  She enjoyed Bingo with her Orion lady-friends, and above all, Beulah loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Patrick Murphy; 3 daughters, Connie Sand (Robert Franks), Annawan, IL, Susan (Stephen) Livesay, Andover, IL, and Pamela (Ray) Meier, Annawan, IL; 2 sons, Richard (Patricia) Pavel, Murray, UT, and Robert (Kristy) Pavel, NC; 8 grandchildren, Lisa Edwards, Jodi Roberts, Christine Limer, Curtis Sand, Darlene Sand, Craig Sand, Kay Villella, and Scott Pavel; 6 great grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; step children, Keith (Jeanne) Murphy and family, MA, Connie (Steve) Young and family, TX, and Janet Fyfe and family, CO; sister, Lucille Sand, Humphrey, NE; brothers, Charles, Columbus, NE, Ferdinand, Jr., Humphrey, NE.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George, and brothers, E.J., Sylvester, Luke, James, Maurice E., and Arthur.
