Beverly M. Kauzlarich, 78, of Orion, IL passed away Monday, April 30, 2007 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, May 3, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Mary, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Orion. Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2 at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd 1301-4th Street, Orion. Burial is in Western Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mary, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church Building Fund.
Beverly was born December 13, 1928 in Rock Island, the daughter of Lloyd and Alta (Miller) Pannell. She grew up in Port Byron and graduated from Port Byron High School in 1946. She worked as a switchboard operator at Illinois Bell, in the engineering department at International Harvester Plant, East Moline, and most recently for dentist George Oliver, from where she retired. Beverly was a member of Mary, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church and a former member of the church's Altar and Rosary Society.
She married Billy E. Kauzlarich on September 17, 1949 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Colona.
Beverly enjoyed playing bingo, going to the gambling boats and she attended every Bix Jazz Festival since its inception. She was also an excellent seamstress and an avid reader.
She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her husband, Billy; children Rita (Mike) Buckley, Orion; Teresa (Mike) Anderson, Coal Valley ; William Kauzlarich, Taylor Ridge; Karen (Dennis) Papini, Murfreesboro, TN and Bruce (Mary) Kauzlarich, Moline.
Grandchildren include Michael, Brian and Matt Buckley; Joseph Kauzlarich and Amber Wirt; Jason, Marie and Natalie Papini; Kayla and Emily Kauzlarich; step-grandchildren Christopher and Heath Anderson, 3 great grandchildren, and special friend, Norma Nunez., Taylor Ridge. Sisters Evelyn Jones, East Moline, Karen (Loyal) Tullius, Le Claire, IA ., Lois (Don) Tyler of Rockford, Lola Rudasill, Moline and Carol Pond, South Carolina, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
