Beverly graduated from Rock Island High School in 1951. She married Robert H. Maher on January 19, 1957. He died September 23, 1989.
Making a nice home for her family was her major occupation but she also worked part time positions at Mead O Lane Dairy, K-Mart, AAA Chicago Motor Club and later running a day care from her home.
The church family at Faith Lutheran Church was important to her. She loved singing in the choir, being a member of Lydia Circle and serving as council secretary. Friends accumulated from various organizations including Red Hat Ladies, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Financial Secretary for Vasa Lodge #288, Clara Lodge #118 Independent Order of Vikings, and the Spouse Grief Support Group.
She was very proud of her Swedish heritage making the trip of a lifetime to meet many relatives there in 2003.
We will remember her love of life, her kind and gentle spirit, her sense of humor and unconditional love. She was the wind beneath our wings.
