Beverly J. Peterson, age 81, of Moline, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Trinity, Rock Island with her family by her side.
Celebration of her life will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 26, 2010 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 3:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial is in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Geneseo or Illinois Elks Crippled Children.
Beverly was born October 1, 1928 in Sioux City, IA, the daughter of Howard and Sarah (Morris) Gillette. She married Dwaine P. "Croc" Peterson on September 4, 1948 in Moline.
Beverly was employed as a cosmetician at Walgreen's in downtown Moline for 17 years. She also was a telephone operator for the former Illinois Bell in Moline during the 1950's. She was a 40 year member and former president of the Ladies of Elks #556, and a social member of the Moline Vikings Club. Beverly enjoyed bowling, and belonged to the Whiteway League. She loved playing cards and dancing. Beverly was a die-hard Cubs fan.GO CUBBIES !!!
