Beverly J. Starofsky, age 83, of Moline, died Friday, July 15, 2011 at her residence. Family services are private and she will be interned with her husband Jack who preceded her in death in January of 2006. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. Moline is assisting the family.
Bev was born September 27, 1927 in East Moline, the daughter of George and Bernice Dye. She grew up in Port Byron loving the Mississippi River, and went on to graduate from the former Moline Institute of Commerce. After her marriage to John Starofsky, Sr. in June of 1948, she became a homemaker and raised their seven children.
Survivors are her children Mary Graff, TN; Betty Diehl, Moline; John, Jr. (Linda) Preemption; Ruth (Richard) Renshaw, WA; David (Lynn), St. Thomas; Christine (William) Sokil, Moline; and Richard G. (April) Moline; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren Her younger brother, Donald "Gene" Dye still resides in Erie. She will always live in our hearts.
