Blanche G. Castle 91, formerly of Moline died Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at Forest Hill Health & Rehabilitation Center, East Moline.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 12, 2004 at Esterdahl Mortuary, Ltd. Moline.Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rock Island Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
Blanche was born April 4, 1913 in Moline, IL. the daughter of Ora Earl and Ida Gregg. She married Warren Castle on April 4, 1939 in Davenport, IA. He preceded her in death in December 19, 1977.
Blanche was employed at the Moline News Agency. She later worked at the Interstate Bookstore on 5th Avenue and continued to work there when the store moved to 23rd Avenue in Moline.
Blanche was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church, formerly First Methodist Church in Moline. She enjoyed playing the piano and purchased a home organ which she also enjoyed playing. She took continuing education classes at Black Hawk College in silversmithing and stained glass.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters Merle Asbury and Lottie Trumpp.
