Bob H. Bradford, 76, of Wildwood, FL, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Services were held in Florida on October 7, 2014. A local funeral service will be held at Noon on Friday, October 10, 2014, at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., 1301 4th Street, Orion, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Western Township Cemetery in Orion.
Bob was born July 8, 1938, in Memphis, MO, to the late Lavon and Pauline Thoman Bradford. He was the eldest of his siblings. He had 1 brother, Larry Bradford and 1 sister, Sheron Lovell whom he loved dearly. Bob met the love of his life, Betty L. McCann at Gospel Temple in Moline, IL, and united in marriage on December 21, 1957. Bob worked as a Supervisor at John Deere Harvester while living in Orion for many years before he retired and moved to central Florida to be near family. In Florida he worked in heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) as an installer and estimator for Fair & Sons for the remainder of his career. Bob enjoyed many activities that included family, but especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and racing with either family or friends. He was an active member at The Wildwood Assembly of God Church for many years. He served on the Board of Directors for the church, performed general maintenance and was delighted to usher and serve God in any way needed.
Plain and simple, he was adored and loved by all his family and friends!
Those that are left to honor his memory include his devoted and loving wife of 56 years, Betty of Wildwood, FL; son, John Bradford (Renee) of Plano, TX; daughters, Cindy (John) Rhodes of Moline, IL, and Christine (Todd) Schultz of Weeki Wachee, FL; sister, Sheron (Jack) Lovell of Trenton, MO; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Those that preceded Bob in death were his son, Corey Bradford; parents, Lavon and Pauline Thoman Bradford; brother, Larry Bradford.
