Bonnie Jean Borden, age 54 died Thursday, June 15, 2006 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Visitation is Saturday, June 17, 2006 from 1-4 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, June 19,2006 at 1:00 p.m. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, or to a favorite charity of the givers, in Bonnies name.
Bonnie blessed this world with her presence on February 17, 1952, the daughter of Fred and Rose Briesch in Moline. She graduated from Moline High School in 1970, and earned an Associates Degree at Black Hawk College. She worked for the Rock Island Arsenal for 27 years and belonged to the Women in Defense organization. She married Larry Borden on February 14, 2003.
Bonnies greatest joy was spending time with family and a wide circle of friends. She was especially loving and nurturing with children of all ages and "Aunt Bonnie" to all. She loved to read, garden, sew , and shop. She was active in, and developed warm relationships with member of her church.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Borden, Moline; step-daughter Jill Borden, Chicago; sisters Beverly Hailey, Rock Island and Sharon Briesch, Moline; brother Bill Briesch (Kayla), Grand Island, NE; nephews and nieces, Raymond Briesch (Wendy), John Briesch (Maria), Velvet Eggert (Mike), Kelley Briesch, Natasha Moninski (Kevin), Jamie Briesch, Katie Briesch, and Billy Teague and all of their wonderful children.
She was preceded in death by her mother Rose, brother Fred, brother-in-law Ross, nephew Freddie, and great-nephew Braxton.
