Brian D. Ruppert, age 35 of Orion, died Saturday, September 29, 2007 at Trinity Medical Center, Moline.
Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 p.m.Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at Mary, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Orion with a prayer service at 3:00 p.m. Additional visitation will be from 4:00-9:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL. with a rosary recited at 8:00 p.m.. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 4, 2007 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Sparta, IL. Burial is in Bethel Cemetery, Swanwick, IL. Memorials may be made to the Brian Ruppert's Children's Education Fund which is set-up at Bank Orion. Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd, Orion is assisting the family.
Brian was born March 14, 1972 in Pinckneyville, IL the son of Lonnie and Melinda Bahre Ruppert. He married Stephanie Halsey on November 11, 2000 in Elburn, IL.
Brian was a trainer for excavators at John Deere Training Center in Davenport. He was a member of the Buckeye 4-H Club of Perry County. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, being involved at his church, Mary, Our Lady of Peace in Orion and playing with his boys.
Survivors include his wife Stephanie, two sons Max and Wes both at home and a third child due in July; his parents Melinda and Lonnie Ruppert of Coulterville, IL; his maternal grandparents Dorothy Bahre and the late Charles Bahre of Nashville, IL and paternal grandparents Frank and Minerva Ruppert of Coulterville, IL; his sister Julie and Ken Fehr of Red Bud, IL and Elaine Ruppert of Glen Carbon, IL; his brother Jon and Cortnie Ruppert of Coulterville, IL; many nieces and nephews, his brothers-in-law Brian and Jen Halsey of Elburn, IL. father and mother-in-law Rick and Kathy Halsey of Kaneville, IL and grandmother-in-law Louise Flood of DeKalb, IL
