Carl "Cully" A. Swanson, 77, of Moline died May 27, 2007 as a result of an automobile accident in Indianapolis, IN.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 1, 2007 at 3:00p.m. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. The Rev. Dr. Barbara Melaas-Swanson will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date at National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Veterans or a favorite charity.
Cully was born June 16, 1929 in Moline to Arvid and Edla Palmqvist. He was an Army Air Force veteran serving from 1949-1952.
Cully was employed at Deere and Company working on the "Green Team." He retired in 1992.
Cully was life member of Moline American Legion Post #246 and Amvets. He was also a member Moline VFW# 2153 and Thor Lodge #9 Independent Order of Vikings. He loved gardening. He collected John Deere memorabilia and was an Atlanta Braves fan.

Mae Johnson Lynn Center, IL
Brother Vernon Swanson Darien, IL
several nieces and nephews
numerous cousins in the United States and Sweden
Special friends Jan, Gert, Patty and Virginia
He was preceded in death by his parents.
