Carlos E. Polit, 71 of Moline passed away December 19, 2010 at Trinity Rock Island.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 22nd at St. Mary's Catholic Church,
412-10th Street, Moline with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at a later date at National Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to his church, St. Mary's. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. is assisting the family.
Carlos was born on April 30, 1939 in Quito, Ecuador, South America the son of Dr. Carlos and Blanca Cortes Polit. He married Judith Ricaurte on August 7, 1965 at St. Mary's Church in Moline.
Carlos was employed by International Harvester and a Vice-President of the U.A.W. retiring in 1986 after 22 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the U.A.W. and the Small Business Association. He was also an Army veteran. He enjoyed tennis, racquetball, golf, euchre and chess.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
