Carol Ann Bennett

Carol Ann Bennett, 64, of Moline, died Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 17, 2019, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline.  Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Quad Cities Animal Welfare Center, Milan.

Carol Ann was born on April 4, 1955, in Moline, the daughter of Arthur Morrison Dunlap and Margaret Ellen (Bergstrom) Dunlap.  She married Dan Gall in 1976 and she later met and married the love of her life, Larry Bennett, on April 14, 2007, in Rock Island.  Carol graduated from Moline Lutheran College of Nursing and worked for Drs. Cerny, Breaux and Pimentel.

Carol loved flowers, gardening, monarch butterflies, playing with her dogs and impromptu road trips.  She looked forward to spring, so she could hear the robins and wrens sing.  Carol cherished her time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Larry; children, Jenna Gall (Christophe Lefebvre); Evan (Haley) Gall; Rachel Bennett (Alex Vourlidis) Kyle (Jessica) Bennett; sister, Beverly (Steve) Strupp; grandson, Leonard Vourlidis; and lifetime friend, Becky Virta.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Donna; and grandson, Kaj.
