Carol A Boland

Carol A. Boland, 78, of Dubuque, IA, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline, IL.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 2, 2021, at the Linwood Cemetery Chapel 2735 Windsor Ave, Dubuque, IA.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Carol was born on May 6, 1943, in San Diego, CA, the daughter of Robert Boland and Anita Long.  She graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1961.  Carol enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting, crocheting, and reading romance novels.  She was a member of the Elgin Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.  Carol was a collector of things and loved decorating her home for every holiday.

Survivors include her children, Cindy (Ruben) Robles, Brenham, TX, Michael (Dawn) Lang, Chandler, AZ, David (Lisa) Lang, Independence, IA, and Patrick (Jessica) Lang, East Moline, IL; grandchildren, Emma Lang and Marcus Lang; siblings, Sandy French, Dubuque, IA, Dugan Long, Florence, OR, Lou-Anna Frazier, Florence, OR.

She was preceded in death by her parents, father, Robert Boland, stepmother, Virginia Boland, mother, Anita “Polly” Long, stepfather, William “Pop” Long; twin died at birth; sister, Susan Sanna.
